Lee embarked on his professional journey in the realm of Lighting and Emergency Lighting 14 years ago – beginning as the internal sales office manager for BLE Lighting and Power. Swiftly climbing the career ladder, he assumed the role of Sales and Marketing Manager for the business. Lee’s expertise extends beyond sales, as he engaged in specification projects at both consultant and contractor stages.
His commitment to excellence is evident in his achievement of the ICEL certificate for Emergency Lighting Foundation, Legislation, and Planning. Lee’s journey led him to Eaton, where he played a pivotal role in setting up the emergency lighting sales team. At Eaton, he focused on gaining specifications for specialised emergency lighting systems through consultants and providing comprehensive support to contractors at every stage of project development.
Lee’s portfolio boasts a diverse array of projects, ranging from large-scale university campuses to Ministry of Defence (MOD) sites, commercial offices, and buildings of all shapes and sizes. His recent move to Bright Source in October 2023 as the Director of Project Sales underscores his dedication to advancing his experience and supporting contractors in maximising their margins during project deliveries.
His extensive knowledge encompasses static inverters, central battery units, and addressable, automatic testing emergency systems. He has a deep understanding of emergency lighting regulatory requirements and has hands-on experience in conducting site surveys. Lee is well-versed in the principles of return on investment, navigating the intricate balance between capital expenditure and operational expenditure.
