In our pursuit of excellence, we continually strive to make improvements to our products and processes wherever possible. As part of our continued association with the esteemed Lighting Industry Association (LIA), we are proud to announce that we are currently undergoing The LIA’s Quality Audit process to achieve LIA Quality Assurance (LIAQA) status.
At Bright Source Lighting, quality and reliability have been at the forefront and are the cornerstones of our product design since our inception. By strictly adhering to industry standards and best practices, we can instil confidence in our customers and uphold our reputation for excellence.
The LIAQA scheme is a specialised quality assurance mark designed by industry experts at the LIA, rigorously evaluating a member’s quality system and their adherence to regulatory requirements. Upon meeting and demonstrating the required standards, members are awarded the LIAQA Assured Company Mark, signifying their commitment to excellence and compliance in the lighting industry. LIAQA Assured Members can showcase to their customers that as suppliers of lighting and lighting related products they have a system in place that effectively addresses product compliance and quality control.
The process of meeting the LIAQA status has involved a review of all of Bright Source’s processes that relate to and impact on product quality. This includes:
- How we identify and approve new products
- How we manage and audit our suppliers
- How we instruct our suppliers to test products
- How we manage the Goods In and batch testing processes
- How product and stock is managed through the business (which is critical, as Bright Source is a multi-million-pound business)
Our Senior Leadership team has held a series of vital meetings to map Bright Source’s way through the process, formalising the way the company has worked for a number of years to prove the quality processes we uphold. We have also reviewed our existing Quality Manual and updated it wherever needed to meet requirements.
We aim to give peace of mind, comfort and confidence to our customers, demonstrating that they will receive the highest quality products when purchasing from Bright Source. Achieving the LIAQA status will provide a well-earned stamp of approval from The LIA and help demonstrate our continued commitment to product quality.
